The purpose of building charging facilities is to allow vehicles to replenish more than 50%~60% of their power in a short time. In practical applications, electric vehicles generally use DC fast charging, which can be fully charged within 1~2 hours, while the AC power used in our homes can only use slow charging mode, which takes 6-8 hours to fully charge. Therefore, for electric vehicle charging needs, faster is always better. However, as the charging speed increases, the current and voltage will also increase linearly, which leads to an increase in the power of the charging pile inductor module. A large amount of heat is generated by components such as the inductor module and power supply module.

How much heat is generated during the charging process of a charging pile?
To give you a clear understanding of the heat generated by a charging pile during normal operation, we will compare a 60KW charging pile with a communication power cabinet:
Currently, the mainstream module efficiency in the industry is nominally 95%. Taking a 60KW system as an example, the module heat dissipation alone reaches 60*0.05*1000=3000W. This means that during the charging process, the heat generated by the charging pile is 3 times that of an outdoor communication cabinet of the same volume.

Objectives and Principles of Airflow Design
Reduce system pressure loss, ensure sufficient airflow through the heat source (charging module); ensure the airflow speed through the key heat source; prevent air backflow in the airflow channel; prevent air short circuit; prevent mutual influence of heating components (sockets) in the system;

Selection of Heat Dissipation Fans
Calculate the required air volume based on the heat generation and internal air temperature rise, and reasonably design the series-parallel connection of the heat dissipation fans. On this basis, fully consider the resistance of the filter cotton to ensure the reliability of the heat dissipation system; for outdoor equipment, the lifespan and noise of DC/AC heat dissipation fans should be considered simultaneously.
From this, we can see that the charging pile generates a large amount of heat during the charging process. If it is not dissipated in time, it will cause serious safety accidents. Therefore, heat dissipation is one of the problems that must be solved in the promotion and construction of charging pile systems!
